Folklore 101: Marigold, the Cursed Castaway
Marigold once called the sea freedom, battlefield, and home. A ship without a natural silhouette found her crew in fog and swallowed vessel and companions alike. The tide returned Marigold alone upon Nibiru’s coast, green-skinned, bright-eyed, and burdened with a hunger that death should have ended.
She carved a pirate refuge into the cliffs and waited for sailors who might know the fog-ship. Instead she found Triccy, a fisherbear who led her from the coast into Nibiru’s hidden snow. Together they began searching the fractured land for the cause of Marigold’s curse and the truth of the sea that refused to keep her.
