Folklore 103: Num, Keeper of Living Stories

Num gathered stories until the library could keep them without constant hands. Then the keeper turned toward flowers.

To Num, this was not an abandonment of memory. Roots held lineage. Blooming marked arrival. Withering recorded departure. Each bouquet was a sentence written in color and season, following lessons first taught by a grandmother who listened to soil.

Num remained in Emeraldis and built a florist’s life among the green. Those who expected an old archivist found a gardener instead. Those who listened longer understood that the archive had merely learned to grow.
