Folklore 106: Isdraugr, the Frostforged
Isdraugr kept the forge burning while Nibiru froze. When his body failed, his oath did not. He rose rimed in ice, redstone humming where a heartbeat had been, and continued making tools for those strong enough to endure.
Later he left the forge to visit ruined towers, frozen cairns, and roads that memory had abandoned. An ancient white owl called Katyogel chose his company. The hammer tested strength; the owl tested truth.
Relics returned to him one by one, and every recovery deepened the storms. From his hut above the old kingdom, Isdraugr waited to learn whether Nibiru would raise a castle or merely another memory.
