Folklore 108: Dalou, the Hidden Twin

Dalou and her pale-haired twin Yene were born to forbidden blood and raised in secret. When disguised agents found the family, captivity replaced childhood. Their mother bought escape with her life and one command: hide who you are and live.

Dalou lost Yene’s hand in the corridors. She escaped alone and carried the failure through years of wandering, sword practice, concealed magic, and fading hope.

Mount Hua finally offered a place where potions and enchantments were practiced without shame. Dalou stopped running there, though she never stopped wondering whether her father or sister still walked some distant road.
