Folklore 120: Hollgrot, the Outcast
Hollgrot was born to a nomadic orc clan. At ten orc years, tradition cast him out to survive alone and prove the strength of his blood.
He chose Nibiru’s barren cold, built a lodge, hunted, and discovered that solitude could become skill rather than sentence. There he found people who called themselves Nibirans and accepted them as family despite the old law of his pilgrimage.
His later theft of Tophian totems stained that belonging and forced costly restitution. Hollgrot’s tale therefore preserves both truths: an outcast can find a home, and finding one does not free him from what he chooses afterward.
