Folklore 122: Magpie, the Wingless Sprite

Magpie emerged from the shifting Wilderness with no offered past and two scars where wings may once have grown.

Flowers, tame creatures, and shining objects delighted her without regard for their market value. Others named her after the collecting bird. She accepted the name and shared her finds generously with anyone who earned her quick friendship.

Magpie settled in Emeraldis to build a garden where every beautiful fragment could be displayed. Whatever had taken her wings did not take her instinct to gather joy and make it visible.
