Folklore 134: Fixer, the Wayfaring Broker
Fixer appeared at the edges of disputes, missing scrolls, quiet errands, and problems respectable people wanted solved without witnesses.
No lineage or homeland followed the broker into Mount Hua. Only usefulness and a price did. Fixer could provide paths, information, and hands willing to do what the buyer would not.
That talent eventually placed blood upon a contract and brought Toph’s demand for judgment. Fixer survived the settlement, but the agreement narrowed the broker’s reach. From then on, every whispered task carried the memory of the one that became public.
