Folklore 145: Nao, the Quiet Hand

Nao’s name appears repeatedly in Emeraldis while personal history remains absent.

The surviving pattern is one of steady presence: returning to the green, sharing its ordinary work, and remaining outside the grander claims of leaders, merchants, and warriors.

Later archivists called Nao the Quiet Hand, not as a rank, but as recognition for the citizens whose labor is visible only after it stops.
