Folklore 002: The Five That Remained
Only a fraction of the old world remained safely known. Five territories rose from that fraction.
Mount Hua kept its terraces, sky-islands, scholars, and red petals. Solaris claimed the burning sands and rebuilt roads through trade. Toph raised stone, law, and stubborn walls. Nibiru preserved fire beneath ice and remembered every road that winter tried to erase. Emeraldis listened to roots, rivers, and the walking Colossi of the green.
Between them stood Harmonium, the empty heart: unclaimed halls, silent markets, and gates that waited for hands to use them again. Beyond all six places lay the Wilderness, where ruins had no witnesses and the land no longer obeyed old maps.
The Five did not begin as one people. They became neighbors because solitude was more dangerous than disagreement.
