Folklore 010: The Three Beneath the Earth
Near the end of the Harmonium Season, three voices woke.
They were remembered by color before they were remembered by name. Their call reached the settlements with coordinates and an invitation that felt too much like a command. Beneath the earth, a dungeon opened, and those who entered found trials tied to powers older than the new territories.
Some sought favor. Some sought proof that gods had survived the Sundering. Others entered because no locked door can remain untested while adventurers live. Questions were promised: what the Three desired, what their favor cost, and whether devotion could alter the rebuilding world.
The answers were interrupted. Instability spread through the land soon after the awakening. Thus the Three passed into folklore unfinished, which is often how dangerous powers prefer to be remembered.
